The traffic light located in front of Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ Senior High School on the Abuakwa–Sunyani main road, specifically within the Tanoso Anwiankanta area, is currently not functioning. This situation is of serious concern, as the road experiences heavy traffic daily and is frequently crossed by students entering and leaving the school for academic activities. The traffic light has been faulty for over a month, yet no corrective action has been taken. The continued inaction poses a significant risk to the safety of students, pedestrians, and motorists, and could potentially result in accidents leading to loss of lives. I am therefore reporting this issue as a concerned citizen and respectfully urging the relevant authorities to urgently attend to and fix the traffic light to ensure public safety and prevent any unfortunate incidents.
